Evangelistic Courses and Events

Throughout the year the Cathedral runs a number of different events to help people find out more about God, Jesus and the Bible. Please contact us to find out what is running currently.

Courses include:

Christianity Explored

We are involved with the rest of the cathedral in running Christianity Explored. It is a course designed to enable those who don't yet know about Christianity to find out more about it in a relaxed and personal setting so that you can make an informed decision yourself about Jesus. Please contact us if you would like us to arrange someone to go through the course with you.

The God Who Is There

This series simultaneously evangelizes non-Christians and edifies Christians by explaining the Bible’s storyline in a non-reductionistic way. It is geared toward “seekers” and articulates Christianity in a way that causes hearers either to reject or embrace the gospel. It’s one thing to know the Bible’s storyline, but it’s another to know one’s role in God’s ongoing story of redemption. “The God Who Is There” engages people at the worldview-level. It is presented by Prof Don Carson by video. Small groups discuss the talks afterwards. Full audio and video are also available for download from the Gospel Coalition website.

Guest Nights

Throughout the year the cathedral organises a variety of different evangelistic guest nights particularly aimed at non-Christians to provide an opportunity for them to hear the Gospel shared clearly and simply, over a meal in a relaxed and friendly environment.

University Welcome Dinners

Just like a Guest Night but on or near a university campus.

Outreach Ministries

Shal Home

We visit the home on a monthly basis to teach the bible to the residents there. Scripture is taught through drama, songs and games. The residents of the home suffer from mental illness.

Cheshire Home

Monthly we visit Cheshire Home, a home for adults with disabilities. Adults and children from the cathedral gather to share God's word, pray and fellowship with residents who join us. They are an enthusiastic and vocal group of adults who love Jesus and look forward to visitors.

Refugees Schools

Weekly bible classes are carried out in 3 Myanmar refugee schools located in Jalan Sentul, Cheras and Sg Besi by us. The schools are attended by students from the Chin tribe. They learn Scripture through fun and interactive games and activities.

Girls' Brigade

Meetings held on a weekly basis during the school term. Members of the Girls' Brigade are taught the truth of the gospel and scripture along with other activities as well. Meetings are held in St Mary's school.

Alice Smith School Christian Fellowship

We teach at Bible weekly at the Christian Fellowship group on the Alice Smith school secondary campus.
